Developer | First Person Color Mixing Game, Solo Project

About: 

A First-Person puzzle game in which players mix different colored lights together. Different combined color volumes affect the player and objects in unique ways:

  • Magenta reduces speed

  • Cyan boosts forward

  • Yellow launches upward

Contributions

  • Designed and rapidly prototyped the build in Unity - coded the light mixing mechanics using C#.

  • Refined the Lantern mechanic that empowers players to directly manipulate light color combinations and solve puzzles.

  • Overhauled the environment visuals for greater readability and visual cohesion.

  • Designed levels to gently familiarize players with each color mechanic.

  • Gradually increased challenge so players could reliably solve puzzles.

  • Designed environments to visually guide the player on where to go next after finishing puzzles.
